CNN Asks Trump-Hater Brutally Honest Question

Jeffries was squirming!

CNN host Jake Tapper stunned viewers on Wednesday when he pressed House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries, D-N.Y., about Democrats funneling Medicaid dollars to noncitizens.

The exchange happened just hours after the federal government shut down when Democrats and Republicans failed to agree on a funding bill.

Tapper Corners Jeffries on Noncitizen Healthcare

Republicans have repeatedly warned that Democrats are trying to give taxpayer-funded healthcare to illegal immigrants and asylum seekers. Tapper, known for his liberal leanings, put Jeffries on defense by highlighting a key truth: the Democrats’ plan restores emergency Medicaid funds that directly benefit noncitizens.

“Why even include that in the bill, knowing Republicans will seize on it?” Tapper asked.

Jeffries tried to deflect, insisting Democrats were “saving healthcare for 14 million Americans” and fighting the “largest Medicaid cut ever.” But Tapper pressed harder: “Do you not think provisions providing healthcare for noncitizens muddies that message?”

Democrats Defend Perks for Noncitizens

Instead of admitting the obvious, Jeffries claimed Democrats can’t control state-level decisions. Yet the fact remains: the Democrat-backed plan does include funding that benefits asylum seekers, people with temporary protected status, and others who are not American citizens.

That means taxpayer dollars — money from seniors, veterans, and working families — will be used to cover individuals who entered the U.S. illegally or are only here on temporary status.

Schumer Meltdown on MSNBC

Senate Democrat leader Chuck Schumer, D-N.Y., also exploded on MSNBC, angrily calling Republican criticism of the plan “a total, absolute, effing lie.” His meltdown showed just how nervous Democrats are about being exposed for putting noncitizens ahead of struggling Americans.

The Bottom Line for Taxpayers

For millions of Americans — especially seniors who know how expensive healthcare has become — the question is simple: why are Democrats fighting so hard to cover noncitizens when U.S. citizens are already drowning in high medical bills?

Democrats may call it “healthcare for all,” but to taxpayers footing the bill, it looks like healthcare for everyone but Americans first.
