Democrats Stoop To New Low

Democrats will say anything, won’t they?

Rep. Seth Moulton (D-Mass.) recently took aim at Vice President Vance over remarks he made during his speech at the Munich Security Conference. Moulton expressed concern over Vance’s use of the phrase “the enemy within,” which he claimed echoed dangerous rhetoric from history, notably that used by Adolf Hitler to justify the Holocaust. During his first international trip as Vice President, Vance also visited the Dachau concentration camp, where Nazis tortured political prisoners, before delivering his speech.

In his address to European leaders, Vice President Vance strongly condemned the rising tide of illegal immigration and the suppression of dissenting voices. He emphasized, “No voter on this continent went to the ballot box to open the floodgates to millions of unvetted immigrants,” reflecting concerns that have become central to political discussions across Europe. He also pointed out that voters were increasingly choosing leaders who promised to address uncontrolled migration, a sentiment Vance said he shared. His words resonated with many who are fed up with unchecked immigration and the erosion of national sovereignty.

However, Moulton dismissed Vance’s speech as “out of touch,” accusing him of undermining the fight for democracy in Ukraine. The Massachusetts Democrat argued that Vance’s tone was condescending and hypocritical, as he lectured European leaders about democracy while neglecting to acknowledge the complexities of global politics. Furthermore, Moulton criticized Vance for meeting with far-right leaders from the Alternative for Germany (AfD) party, labeling them as “modern-day Neo-Nazis.”

Despite Moulton’s sharp critique, former President Donald Trump came to Vance’s defense, calling the speech “brilliant” and stressing that Europe needed to heed Vance’s warnings about the dangers of unchecked immigration. Trump’s endorsement of Vance’s stance highlights the growing frustration within the Republican Party over the failure of European leaders to address their immigration crises.
