After swearing to the American people that she would officially step down as the leader of the House Democrats following the midterms, House Speaker Nancy Pelosi has just announced that she WILL seek re-election.
Republicans are shocked because, Pelosi mentioned several times that she would be stepping down in the past.
According to Fox, Pelosi took to Twitter and wrote, “While we have made progress much more needs to be done to improve people’s lives. This election is crucial: nothing less is at stake than our Democracy.”

Pelosi will be 82 this year which has raised concerns with many who believe that she is too old to be holding the speaker position.
