This is a crazy thing for Democrats to openly say.
Rep. Jamie Raskin openly warns foreign leaders: side with President Trump—and face Democrat revenge.
In a move raising serious concerns about political retaliation, Rep. Jamie Raskin (D-MD) is threatening world leaders who align with President Donald Trump’s law-and-order immigration policies. Raskin warned that when Democrats return to power, they will remember which countries worked with Trump—and punish them accordingly.
During a recent appearance on the liberal podcast Pod Save America, Raskin targeted El Salvador’s President Nayib Bukele, a close ally of Trump in the fight against illegal immigration and violent gang activity.
“We won’t view those who enabled authoritarian behavior in the U.S. favorably,” Raskin said, alluding to Trump’s firm approach to deportation policy.
President Trump’s Strong Immigration Policy Under Fire
President Trump has invoked the Alien Enemies Act of 1798 to swiftly deport dangerous illegal immigrants, particularly gang members, to El Salvador’s ultra-secure Terrorism Confinement Center (CECOT). This bold policy has been widely praised by American families and law enforcement leaders.
But to Democrats like Raskin, enforcing immigration law is “authoritarianism.”
He even suggested the U.S. should cut off foreign aid to nations that support Trump’s efforts to deport violent criminals.
Biden Allies Threaten to Punish Trump-Supporting Nations
Raskin’s message is clear: if your country cooperates with Trump’s America First agenda—expect consequences. This includes El Salvador, which recently accepted the deportation of Kilmar Abrego Garcia, a Salvadoran national accused of gang ties. His return was part of the administration’s aggressive crackdown on violent illegal immigrants.
Garcia had entered the U.S. illegally in 2011 and was originally shielded by a court ruling due to claimed gang threats. But under Trump’s renewed commitment to public safety, he was deported in March—a move Raskin called “dubious.”
Foreign Leaders Aligning With Trump Face Political Payback
President Bukele, who met with President Trump at the White House last week, defended his role and emphasized his nation’s commitment to fighting transnational crime. Yet Democrats are now threatening his government for simply cooperating with America’s sovereign immigration enforcement.
Raskin, a former constitutional law professor, went so far as to question whether President Trump himself could one day be sent to a foreign prison—an inflammatory and disturbing suggestion.
He labeled the Trump-led U.S. government a “gangster state” and called for more “transnational Democrat solidarity” to oppose the administration.
Why This Matters: The Left’s Real Agenda Exposed
While Americans want safer communities and secure borders, radical Democrats are focused on undermining allies and punishing law enforcement cooperation. Their obsession with President Trump has reached a new low—now threatening international relationships over political grudges.
President Trump continues to lead with strength, restoring order at home and building powerful partnerships abroad. Meanwhile, the opposition is busy keeping score—ready to retaliate against any country that refuses to bow to their open-borders ideology.
