DeSantis Begs Trump For Help

Here’s what happened…

As former President Donald Trump continues to build his 2024 presidential campaign, he is already addressing rumors about Florida Governor Ron DeSantis challenging him for the presidency and is going on the offensive.

According to Florida Politics, Trump recently told media sources that he would “handle” DeSantis if he challenged him in 2024 because DeSantis would have withdrawn from his 2018 race against Adam Putnam if he hadn’t endorsed him.

Trump attacked DeSantis saying, “Ron called me and he wanted support. He was at 3%. As you probably know, the Agricultural Commissioner, his name was Adam Putnam. Adam Putnam was close to 40%. Adam Putnam had $25 million, Ron had nothing. And Ron was going to drop out of the race. He asked me if I’d endorse him. And I did endorse him.”

Trump added, “Ron, instead of dropping out of the race, he went to the head of the race. But I think he went up to 71 … from 3 to 71. In one night.”

Trump then talked about how he also helped DeSantis defeat his Democrat challenger Andrew Gillum who he called a “crackhead.”

“Gillum was going to beat Ron,” Trump explained.

Adding, “I got him elected, pure and simple. And there was no reason to go wild about endorsing him. So, now I hear he might want to run against me. So, we’ll handle that the way I handle things.”

Trump then attacked the mainstream media for supporting DeSantis over him. Trump said, “NewsCorp, which is Fox, the Wall Street Journal, and the no longer great New York Post (bring back Col!), is all in for Governor Ron DeSanctimonious, an average REPUBLICAN Governor with great Public Relations.”

Donald Trump is incredible when it comes to debates. While the Republican voters love Ron DeSantis, it is very clear that Trump definitely had a hand in making his political career. Will DeSantis be successful in defeating Trump in 2024? Only time will tell.
