Republicans Dump Trump

This is not a good tactic.

Republican leaders and groups in the state of Georgia, as well as the rest of the country, are pushing extremely hard to ensure that Trump’s enemy Georgia Governor Brian Kemp does not get unseated by Trump-endorsed Republican David Perdue.

According to The Hill, large groups such as the National Rifle Association (NRA) and even former President George Bush have endorsed Governor Kemp in hopes of keeping him as Georgia’s governor and are fundraising for him.

Kemp has also received an astounding $5 million from the Republican Governors Association to run ads to get Kemp re-elected.

Currently many of Trump’s favored candidates have swept local elections and Kemp is one of the only candidates who has the best shot at defeated Trump-endorsed David Perdue.

Republican strategist Doug Heye explained, “The one thing we always lose sight of because we want to focus on the Donald is the candidates themselves. With Kemp, you’ve got two factors: one, he’s been a successful governor in the state, and two, he’s running against someone who voters have already rejected.”

After leaving office Trump vowed to get Kemp out of office and is still fighting tooth and nail to unseat him. Many Conservative voters are angry with Kemp and other Republicans for fighting this hard to keep Kemp in office after Trump claimed that he betrayed him.
