Elton John Endorses Trump?

The left definitely won’t like this!

In a recent video shared by Variety, music icon Elton John expressed laughter over former President Donald Trump’s nickname for North Korean leader Kim Jong Un. John found Trump’s label, “Rocket Man,” which he has used to refer to Kim, particularly amusing. “When he did that, I just thought it was hilarious,” John remarked, sharing that the nickname made him laugh.

Trump’s relationship with Kim Jong Un has been a rollercoaster. From labeling him a “maniac” during a GOP debate in 2015 to later describing their rapport as having “good chemistry” in a 2022 audiobook with journalist Bob Woodward, Trump’s views on the North Korean leader have shifted considerably.

Elton John also noted his long-standing connection with Trump, mentioning that the former president has attended many of his concerts. “Trump has always been a fan of mine, and he has been to my concerts many times,” John stated, expressing gratitude for Trump’s support and maintaining a friendly stance towards him.

In September 2022, John performed at the White House and was honored with the National Humanities Medal by President Joe Biden. During the Variety interview, John chose not to endorse any particular candidate for the upcoming election but highlighted concerns raised by former Vice President Dick Cheney about the current political climate. “America is in a very volatile position at the moment,” John observed. “I’m so thankful that this country made me who I am, and I want people to vote for what is just and important—like the right to choose and the right to be who you are.”

Additionally, Trump has made headlines for his playful barbs at fellow Republicans. In an April podcast episode, he referred to Florida Governor Ron DeSantis as “Rocket Man,” suggesting DeSantis’s campaign was faltering. “I should call him Rocket Man, but now he’s Rocket Man that’s crashing,” Trump quipped. DeSantis, who entered the presidential race but ultimately withdrew and endorsed Trump, had his own share of challenges on the campaign trail.

In this politically charged environment, Elton John’s comments serve as a reminder of the diverse reactions to Trump’s unconventional style and the ongoing debates surrounding American politics.
