On Tuesday, James Comey, the ex-director of the FBI, shocked American and expressed his satisfaction and called it “another good day,” which seemed to be linked to the indictment of former President Donald Trump on serious criminal charges.
“Another good day,” Comey wrote which shocked Americans on social media.
According to Fox, President Trump fired Comey from his position in 2017, citing the latter’s handling of the inquiry into Hillary Clinton’s utilization of a private email server as the reason. However, the relationship between the two was further strained by disagreements regarding the investigation of possible Russian involvement in the 2016 election and Comey’s refusal to confirm publicly that Trump was not under investigation.
Comey has emerged as a vocal opponent of the former president and had previously expressed his approval of Trump’s arraignment by a grand jury in Manhattan last week.

On Tuesday, Trump entered a plea of not guilty to 34 charges of fraudulent business record-keeping, carrying a maximum imprisonment sentence of 136 years. He was met with a frenzy of media attention as he made his way from Trump Tower to the courthouse located in downtown Manhattan.
Although Trump underwent the usual procedure of being fingerprinted and processed, he was not subjected to handcuffs or the taking of a mugshot.
The allegations against Trump concern the purported payouts of hush money during the 2016 presidential campaign. According to Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg, Trump engaged in the falsification of New York-based business records with the intent of hiding incriminating details and illicit actions from the public both prior to and following the 2016 election.
The judge expressed his desire to expedite the proceedings of the case. The next court hearing is scheduled for December 4, in the same downtown Manhattan courtroom. The prosecution is advocating for a trial to take place in January 2024, which coincides with the peak of the GOP presidential primary season. Trump’s defense, on the other hand, is seeking to extend the timeline of the trial as much as possible.
