New Hampshire’s Republican Governor Chris Sununu openly jokes and called former President Donald Trump “crazy.” Sununu then doubled down and said that if Trump was admitted into a mental hospital “he ain’t getting out!”
Sununu’s comments came at the Gridiron Club’s spring dinner Saturday night where Democrats, Republicans and journalists gather to poke light-hearted fun about each other however Sununu’s statements made headlines.
According to the Associated Press, “He’s (expletive) crazy!” Sununu shouted.
“The press often will ask me if I think Donald Trump is crazy. And I’ll say it this way: I don’t think he’s so crazy that you could put him in a mental institution. But I think if he were in one, he ain’t getting out!” Sununu further added.
Sununu then mocked Trump and said that in one interaction he had with him that Trump wouldn’t stop talking about his own polling numbers while he was president.
