Hillary Accidentally Helps Republicans

Hillary should have never said that 1 word.

In the battleground state of Wisconsin, Republican entrepreneur Eric Hovde is capitalizing on comments made by Democrat Senator Tammy Baldwin regarding supporters of former President Donald Trump as he vies to unseat her. Hovde’s campaign recently released a provocative advertisement featuring Baldwin’s 2016 remarks, where she labeled Trump as “one of the most rude, hateful and unacceptable candidates for president” and questioned the character of those who support him.

This statement is juxtaposed with Hillary Clinton’s famous “basket of deplorables” statement, which many believe played a significant role in her defeat to Trump in the 2016 election. Hovde’s ad, set to air statewide starting Tuesday, is part of a larger multimillion-dollar effort to sway voters in this crucial swing state.

“Tammy Baldwin’s words reveal her true feelings toward Trump and his supporters. Her disdain mirrors that of Hillary Clinton and will certainly resonate with Wisconsin voters on Election Day,” stated Hovde’s spokesman, Zach Bannon.

Baldwin’s campaign, however, quickly countered, asserting that she stands for all Wisconsinites, regardless of their political affiliation. They pointed out past remarks made by Hovde where he referred to Wisconsinites as “deplorable” based on their civic knowledge and criticized various demographics within the state.

Recent polling reflects a tightening race, with a Quinnipiac University survey showing Baldwin leading Hovde by just 4 percentage points. This shift indicates a narrowing gap as Election Day approaches. Political analysts have noted a shift in Wisconsin’s Senate race from “Lean Democrat” to a “Toss Up,” emphasizing the competitive nature of the contest.

As early voting begins and ballots are cast, the focus will be on whether Hovde’s strategy resonates with voters who are increasingly weary of partisan rhetoric. The outcome of this race could hinge not only on local issues but also on the broader political climate as the presidential election looms.
