House Dem Leader Screams Trump ‘Theft’

Democrats are losing their minds.

House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries erupted on CNN this weekend, accusing President Donald Trump of trying to “steal” and “rig” the 2026 midterms. But when pressed on what Democrats in New York would actually do, he refused to answer — exposing deep divisions inside his own party.

Jeffries declared Democrats would fight “from coast to coast” against Trump-backed GOP maps. Yet when CNN host Dana Bash asked about his home state, he dodged — instead ranting about Republicans in Texas and praising Democrats in California. His silence raised eyebrows, especially with Gov. Kathy Hochul openly calling for Democrats to get aggressive.

The Battle Over Congress
Republicans in Texas just approved a Trump-backed map that could hand the GOP up to five extra House seats. Democrats staged walkouts, but they failed to stop the legislation. The move is being hailed as a huge Trump victory, strengthening a GOP majority that currently sits at just three seats.

Not to be outdone, California Democrats led by Gov. Gavin Newsom are pushing a map that could claw back five seats of their own. Voters will decide in November, setting up a coast-to-coast showdown that could determine control of Congress.

Democrats in Disarray
While Jeffries dodges, Hochul has made her position clear. She blasted “good government groups” and said Democrats must stop playing nice. “Donald Trump changed the game forever,” Hochul warned. “Shame on us if we ignore reality.”

Her stance comes even as New York Democrats introduced a so-called constitutional amendment that claims to ban partisan maps. Many see it as political cover while Democrats quietly prepare to gerrymander just like they accuse Republicans of doing.

What’s Next for 2026
The fight over congressional maps is heating up across America. Texas, California, Florida, Missouri, Indiana, New York, Illinois, and Maryland are all in play. The stakes couldn’t be higher: with just a razor-thin margin in the House, every seat matters.

Jeffries may shout “theft,” but it’s President Trump and his allies who are racking up wins. And if Republicans can hold the line in 2026, Democrats’ double standards may finally backfire.
