Did Kamala and her team lie about everything?
Joe Rogan, the popular podcaster, recently blasted the Harris campaign for what he claims is a dishonest attempt to cover up their refusal to schedule an interview with then-Vice President Kamala Harris on his show. According to Rogan, the Harris campaign made excuses to avoid participating, with the campaign alleging that Rogan’s team made unreasonable demands and even rejected the proposed date of October 25th because it was Rogan’s “personal day.” However, the Harris campaign later claimed they learned that Rogan had met with former President Donald Trump on that very same day, fueling their belief that the podcast host was purposely avoiding Harris.
Rogan dismissed the campaign’s claims as typical political maneuvering. He explained that such tactics are commonplace in politics, where those in power often resort to lying to cover up their own mistakes. “It’s just normal political bulls—,” he said. “They just lie. They cover their a–, and they lie.” Rogan emphasized that he would have been more than willing to host Harris, adding that the intent all along was to release both interviews with the candidates simultaneously. He stressed that he would have treated her fairly, offering a respectful opportunity for Harris to express her policies.
His guest, Adam Curry, suggested that the elite messaging system had “broken down” because the political establishment knew that Harris would struggle to answer tough questions. Rogan also reflected on the situation, expressing that if the interview had happened, he would have been supportive, explaining, “I would have held her hand. We would have had a conversation.” However, Rogan made it clear that despite his fair treatment, he was not going to support her candidacy. “I wasn’t going to vote for her,” he said with a laugh.
While Rogan’s refusal to antagonize Harris was clear, he also asserted that the failure to secure the interview ultimately lay with the Harris campaign. He pointed out that the campaign never committed to the interview and stressed that any claims that they were slighted for Trump were simply not true. “We have all the receipts,” Rogan said, “I have a whole list of conversations that took place.” Ultimately, Rogan held firm, saying that it was the Harris campaign’s fault the interview never materialized, and that the narrative being pushed by her team was simply false.
