Things are getting very ugly!

“I’ve Helped Elon a Lot,” Trump Says After Tesla CEO Attacks Trump’s Electric Vehicle Tax Credit Repeal

Washington, D.C. — President Donald J. Trump is speaking out after Tesla CEO Elon Musk launched a surprising public attack on the president’s cornerstone legislative package, the One Big Beautiful Bill Act. In remarks delivered from the Oval Office Thursday, Trump expressed deep disappointment in Musk’s about-face.

“I’ve always liked Elon,” Trump told reporters. “I was very surprised by what he said. I’d rather him criticize me personally than the bill—because the bill is absolutely incredible.”

🔹 The Bill Conservatives Have Been Waiting For

The One Big Beautiful Bill Act, which recently cleared the House, is President Trump’s bold move to eliminate wasteful spending, cut unnecessary green energy handouts, and prioritize American energy independence over woke climate ideology.

A key provision? The repeal of the electric vehicle (EV) tax credit—a subsidy that disproportionately benefits wealthy buyers and globalist corporations.

According to Trump, Elon Musk was fully aware of the bill’s contents while serving as Head of the Department of Government Efficiency.

“He knew the bill inside and out. He never once raised a concern about the EV credit repeal until after he left the administration,” Trump said. “I’ve helped Elon a lot. This is disappointing.”

🔹 Elon Musk Goes Rogue on Social Media

Just hours after Trump’s remarks, Musk took to his social platform, X, to lash out at the legislation.

“There’s never been a bill that’s both big and beautiful,” Musk posted. “This one is a bloated mess filled with pork.”

In another post, Musk accused lawmakers of protecting oil & gas subsidies while slashing incentives for EVs and solar, calling it “very unfair!”

🔹 Trump and Musk: Allies No More?

The fallout is particularly stunning given Musk’s past support. The billionaire backed Trump’s 2024 campaign financially and stood beside him just days ago in the Oval Office, praising their shared vision.

But since stepping down from his advisory role, Musk has reversed course, urging lawmakers to “kill the bill” and calling it “an abomination.”

“In November next year, we fire every politician who betrayed the American people,” Musk wrote.

🔹 President Trump Doubles Down

Despite Musk’s objections, President Trump is standing firm on the bill, which he says reflects the will of the American voter.

“This legislation is about putting America First—not special interests,” Trump said. “We’re cutting waste, ending phony subsidies, and making this country stronger than ever.”
