What a foolish mistake.
California Governor Gavin Newsom did something no one expected recently and unveiled a new ad campaign in the state of Florida with the message that “freedom is under attack.”
According to Fox, Newsom slammed DeSantis and other Republican governors saying, “Your Republican leaders, they’re banning books.” Newsom then said that Republicans are “making it harder to vote, restricting speech in classrooms, even criminalizing women and doctors.”
Newsom is trying to convince Floridians to leave their state and move to California.
Newsom then said, “I urge all of you living in Florida to join the fight. Join us in California, where we still believe in freedom.”
“Freedom of speech, freedom to choose, freedom from hate and the freedom to love,” he added. “Don’t let them take your freedom.”
While Newsom thought this decision to attack Republicans and DeSantis in public was a good idea, it immediately blew up in his face and people called out Newsom on social media and pointed out a number of mistakes and bad ideas that California recently unveiled under his leadership.
People also said that they would never leave the state of Florida and other red states to come live in the ultra-liberal blue state.
