This is very concerning.
Rep. Jerry Nadler recently made a bold promise suggesting that if Democrats regain control of Congress, wealthy ‘White’ individuals will face increased taxes. During a recent encounter with comedian Lionel McGloin, who was posing as a social media influencer and was credentialed as a reporter by The Free Press at the Democratic National Convention in Chicago, Nadler made this declaration.
In a YouTube interview that was posted on Friday, McGloin, adopting a playful tone, asked Nadler, “Wouldn’t it be great if we had higher taxes for rich white men this year?” To which Nadler responded affirmatively, stating, “If Democrats are in charge of Congress, you can certainly expect that.”
McGloin’s enthusiastic reaction, “Yeah, baby, tax those rich old whities!” underscores his support for the idea. The clip continues with McGloin interviewing New York Attorney General Letitia James. He questioned James about concerns that former President Donald Trump might use the justice system to target his political adversaries if he were to return to power. James, who had campaigned on a platform of prosecuting Trump and had pursued legal actions against him, affirmed McGloin’s concern without hesitation.
The interview concluded with McGloin giving James a peck on the cheek, adding a lighthearted touch to the segment. The 20-minute video also features McGloin’s conversations with notable figures including former Trump advisor Kellyanne Conway, Trump’s former lawyer Michael Cohen, director J.J. Abrams, and “NewsNation” anchor Chris Cuomo. Cuomo humorously revealed his favorite pickup line, “I’ll pay,” adding a touch of levity to the proceedings.
This series of interviews highlights the contentious and often personal nature of political discussions, reflecting the current polarized climate in American politics.
