Liberal Governor Takes Aim at Faith and Trump Supporters
California Governor Gavin Newsom is under fire after using his latest publicity stunt to mock both Christianity and President Donald Trump. The Democrat unveiled a so-called “Patriot Shop,” an online store filled with merchandise designed to parody Trump supporters and insult people of faith.
Among the mock products were $100 “Holy Bibles” allegedly signed by Newsom, which he bragged had “sold out” within hours. Critics immediately slammed the move as a direct insult to millions of Americans who value their faith, calling it yet another example of the left’s contempt for Christianity.
Newsom Copies Trump’s Online Persona
For weeks, Newsom has been imitating Trump’s bold social media style. On Sunday, he announced the launch of his new shop with an over-the-top message:
“THE PATRIOT SHOP IS NOW OPEN!!!! MANY PEOPLE ARE SAYING THIS IS THE GREATEST MERCHANDISE EVER MADE. PLEASE ENJOY, AMERICA!”
The merchandise includes MAGA-red hats that read “Newsom was right about everything!”, a tank top mocking Trump’s comments about Taylor Swift, and a T-shirt declaring the California Democrat “The Chosen One.” Within three hours of launch, Newsom bragged that the store had already pulled in $50,000.
Mocking Trump’s Bible to Score Political Points
Newsom went further, taunting President Trump by claiming his fake “signed Bibles” had completely sold out. The jab was a direct reference to Trump’s own hand-signed Bibles, which have become popular among supporters.
Conservatives blasted the stunt as nothing more than a cynical attempt to score political points by mocking religion. “This isn’t leadership, it’s mockery,” one critic said.
Power Grab: Newsom Pushes Radical Redistricting
In addition to his merchandise stunt, Newsom is pushing legislation to redraw California’s congressional maps. The plan could hand Democrats as many as five new seats in the U.S. House of Representatives.
His office even issued an all-caps press release in Trump-like style, calling the maps “PERFECT, BEAUTIFUL” and joking that they were “better than Google Maps and Apple Maps.”
The effort comes as President Trump and Republicans in Texas are working on their own redistricting strategy to secure seats in the critical 2026 midterm elections.
Democrats Mock Faith While Grabbing Power
The controversy over Newsom’s stunt highlights the deep divide in American politics. While Democrats ridicule Christianity and mock President Trump, Republicans remain focused on protecting faith, families, and conservative values.
With the midterms on the horizon, Newsom’s behavior serves as a reminder of just how far the left will go to tear down religion, undermine Trump, and cling to political power.
