Nobel Prize Chair Insults Trump

Global backlash grows as Nobel officials snub President Trump despite his leadership in securing peace deals and halting wars worldwide.

The chairman of the Norwegian Nobel Committee is under fire after taking a subtle jab at President Donald Trump — dismissing his major global peace achievements while awarding this year’s Nobel Peace Prize to a Venezuelan politician instead.

Committee Chair Jorgen Watne Frydnes defended the panel’s controversial decision, suggesting that President Trump’s peace efforts “did not meet” the late Alfred Nobel’s standard — a remark that many Americans are calling a politically motivated insult to both Trump and the United States.

Frydnes made his comments after growing international calls to award Trump the Nobel Peace Prize for his bold diplomacy in ending the Israel-Hamas war and brokering stability between Russia and Ukraine. Trump has also been credited with rebuilding respect for American leadership on the world stage after years of decline under globalist administrations.

“We receive thousands of letters every year from people saying what, for them, leads to peace,” Frydnes said vaguely, refusing to even mention Trump’s name. “This committee bases its decision only on the will of Alfred Nobel.”

Critics say that statement exposes exactly what’s wrong with the Nobel Committee — an institution many conservatives now view as deeply partisan and anti-American.

Earlier this year, President Trump said it would be “an insult to the United States” if his historic peace efforts were ignored by the committee. Supporters agree, noting that Trump is one of the few modern presidents who avoided starting a new war, while promoting peace in regions long dominated by conflict.

Despite the mounting calls, the Nobel panel instead gave the 2025 Nobel Peace Prize to Venezuelan opposition leader Maria Corina Machado, praising her work for “democratic rights.” While few dispute Machado’s courage, many believe the decision was meant to snub President Trump and appease global elites opposed to his “America First” foreign policy.

Even Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu joined the movement demanding justice for Trump, sharing an image of the president with a Nobel medal and writing:

“Give @realDonaldTrump the Nobel Peace Prize — he deserves it!”

From the Abraham Accords to Middle East ceasefires and new peace talks in Eastern Europe, Trump’s record stands unmatched in modern times. Yet the Nobel Committee appears determined to ignore those achievements — proving once again that international institutions are willing to politicize everything, even peace itself, when it comes to President Donald J. Trump.
