According to his own words, leaving the White House saved the marriage between former President Obama and Michelle Obama.
During an interview with CBS Mornings cohost Nate Burleson on Tuesday, former President Obama was asked about comments made by his wife, Michelle Obama, who previously revealed that she “couldn’t stand” him for around a decade during their marriage.
“How do you get back in good graces?” Burleson asked the former president.
“Let me just say this: It sure helps to be out of the White House and to have a little more time with her,” Obama explained.
Last month, Michelle Obama talked about her relationship in an interview with “CBS Mornings” co-host Gayle King.
Michelle Obama had stated, “We’ve been married for 30 years. If I fell out with him for 10 [years], and we had a great 20 years, I’d take those odds anytime.”
It’s sad to see that being the president of the United States was just a nuisance for the Obama Family maybe it and the United States would have been better if he never decided to run in the first place.
