Former President Donald Trump has alleged that the Democrats and the Biden administration are already involved in interfering with the 2024 election.
According to Newsmax, on Wednesday morning, Trump posted on Truth Social, two days after U.S. special counsel John Durham issued a report stating that the FBI did not have concrete evidence to investigate Trump’s 2016 presidential campaign and relied excessively on information provided by Trump’s political rivals to drive the investigation.
Trump posted in all-caps, “WAS BEING FRAMED BY THE FBI AND THE DOJ. NOW IT CONTINUES WITH THE BOXES HOAX, THE ‘PERFECT’ PHONE CALL IN ATLANTA, THE MANHATTAN D.A., AND THE NEW YORK STATE A.G. SCAM. WHAT A GROUP, BUT ALL REPORT TO THE DOJ IN WASHINGTON.”
Trump didn’t stop there, he then wrote, “IT’S JAMES COMEY AND THE SLEAZEBAGS ALL OVER AGAIN. THEY ARE PLAYING ELECTION INTERFERENCE IN 2024 THROUGH ILLEGAL LAW ENFORCEMENT AGAINST REPUBLICANS, IN PARTICULAR YOUR FAVORITE PRESIDENT, ME. THESE ARE CHEATING LOWLIFES, BUT WE WILL WIN. OUR COUNTRY IS GOING TO HELL!”
Donald Trump, who is currently running for the presidency, is confronting criminal charges in New York and is under investigation by two federal inquiries led by special counsel Jack Smith. These investigations are examining Trump’s retention of classified records and his involvement in endeavors to overturn the outcome of the 2020 presidential election.
In the past, Trump has referred to the “weaponization” of law enforcement and has urged Republican members of Congress to “defund” the Department of Justice and the FBI “until they see reason.”
On April 5, Trump posted a message on social media, calling on Republican lawmakers in Congress to defund the DOJ and FBI until they “come to their senses.” He accused the Democrats of “weaponizing” law enforcement in the United States and using this power to interfere with the country’s already vulnerable elections.
