Trump is done with Democrat nonsense.
The White House fired back hard Monday after Illinois Gov. J.B. Pritzker (D) defied President Donald Trump’s order to deploy National Guard troops to help stop Chicago’s growing wave of violence and chaos.
“Chicago is collapsing into lawlessness because this slob cares more about scoring anti-Trump points on X than protecting his own citizens,” said White House spokeswoman Abigail Jackson in a fiery statement to Fox News Digital. “Pritzker should be ashamed of himself.”
Pritzker Defies Trump — and Pays the Price
Pritzker, a billionaire Democrat with 2028 presidential ambitions, called Trump’s directive “un-American” and “absolutely outrageous,” accusing the president of launching an “invasion” of Illinois.
But when the Illinois governor refused to activate his own National Guard, Texas Gov. Greg Abbott stepped up — sending 400 Texas Guard members to Illinois and Oregon at Trump’s request.
“Either protect federal workers or step aside and let Texas handle it,” Abbott said, blasting Democrat leaders for allowing violence to spiral out of control.
Lawsuit Filed as Trump Moves Forward
Pritzker and Chicago Mayor Brandon Johnson rushed to file a lawsuit Monday to block the deployment, claiming Trump was overstepping his authority.
According to Pritzker, the Department of War warned him to “call up your troops, or we will.” He then accused the president of seeking “control, not safety.”
But Trump officials countered that Democrats like Pritzker have failed for years to keep their citizens safe. Chicago continues to suffer record shootings, mob attacks, and violent protests targeting ICE facilities.
“President Trump is restoring law and order in cities Democrats have abandoned,” Jackson said. “He’s doing what they refuse to do — protect the American people.”
Democrat Cities in Decline
For months, President Trump has vowed to intervene where Democrat leaders have failed. Chicago, Los Angeles, Portland, and Washington, D.C., have all seen record violence under far-left leadership that prioritizes politics over public safety.
Pritzker insists there’s “no need” for the National Guard and accused Trump of using troops as “political props.” But residents tell a different story — with rising crime, skyrocketing carjackings, and families afraid to walk outside after dark.
Trump’s deployments in Washington, D.C., and Los Angeles earlier this year brought order and protection to law-abiding citizens after violent protests spiraled into chaos.
Trump’s Message: Protect Americans, Not Politics
“Democrats would rather protect criminals than protect families,” said one senior Trump aide. “President Trump will always stand with law enforcement and the American people — not with the mobs destroying their cities.”
Pritzker, meanwhile, continues to play politics, accusing Trump of “aggression” even as his own state spirals into crisis. Illinois Democrats — including Sens. Dick Durbin and Tammy Duckworth — have echoed his attacks, calling Trump a “wannabe dictator.”
But to millions of Americans watching from the sidelines, the difference is clear:
- Trump takes action.
- Democrats make excuses.
- And everyday Americans are tired of living in fear.
🔴 Bottom Line
President Donald Trump is once again proving that leadership means action — not empty words. While Democrats in Illinois and Oregon cling to political games, Trump is focused on what matters: protecting Americans, restoring law and order, and putting citizens before politics.
