During a town hall event on Friday, U.S. Representative Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez encountered a situation where she relentlessly was heckled by an unhappy audience. Many attendees expressed their dissatisfaction with the Democratic socialist legislator’s stances on immigration, Ukraine funding, and the debt limit.

According to Fox, addressing her constituents in Corona, Queens, U.S. Representative Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, a prominent member of the “Squad,” faced multiple disruptions during her speech. Some individuals in the crowd heckled and booed her, while her supporters responded by shouting down those protesters.

During the event, as he approached Ocasio-Cortez while holding small American flags, one man shouted, “American citizens before migrants! Where do you stand on the migrant issue? You’re a piece of s–t!

Security personnel promptly escorted him away from the scene.

The individual also reiterated a claims that military veterans were being evicted from New York City hotels to accommodate migrants. Amidst the commotion, an individual who identified as an Iraq War veteran stepped forward in an attempt to pacify the crowd and express support for the congresswoman.

With the microphone given to him by Ocasio-Cortez, the man voiced his perspective, stating, “Immigrants have no connection to veterans. We all passed through Ellis Island. Circumstances evolve and change with time.”

In a conversation regarding the impending June 5 debt default deadline, Ocasio-Cortez expressed her viewpoint that the Biden administration should abolish the debt limit. According to her, failing to raise the limit would result in significant turmoil within the U.S. economy.
