Ocasio-Cortez Paves The Path To Presidency

Is AOC really going for it?

In an attempt to increase her presence and control of the Democratic Party, Democrat Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez has just endorsed Sen. Alessandra Biaggi in her pursuit to challenge Rep. Sean Patrick Maloney (D-N.Y.) in the Democratic primary in the state’s 17th Congressional District.

Rumors are now swirling that Ocasio-Cortez is trying to slowly take over the Democrat Party because they believe she has aspirations to one day run for President.

According to The Blaze, Biaggi took to Twitter and wrote, “I’m running for Congress to challenge inaction and political cowardice. New Yorkers deserve fierce champions in Washington, and that’s why I’m so proud to receive the endorsement of one of the bravest fighters I know: @AOC.”

Maloney responded to the news of AOC’s endorsement and said, “I respect Rep. Ocasio-Cortez and have worked with her on a number of policy matters, including as a co-sponsor of the Green New Deal. But, on her endorsement, we are going to have to agree to disagree.”

He then said, “This election comes down to voters in NY-17, and I am honored to have received overwhelming support locally, including endorsements from nearly 40 elected leaders and Democratic Party committees.”

It appears that Ocasio-Cortez believes that if she build a Democratic Party around her and her values she could soon attempt to become the House Speaker or even President in the near future.
