Ocasio-Cortez Commits Tax Fraud?

Is it time for AOC to be investigated?

Democrat Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez’s own spokesperson has now told media sources that she is defying congressional financial disclosure rules by not disclosing her finances to the government. What does she have to hide?

According to Newsmax, Communications Director Lauren Hitt said that Ocasio-Cortez is in no rush to file her disclosure as required by federal law because she can afford to wait another 20 days and pay the fine when enforced. Seems like strange behavior.

As of this morning, AOC has not reported to the House Ethics Committee her 2021 finances even though she was supposed to on August 13th.

Hitt explained, “The Committee provides a 30-day grace period before fines are levied. The Congresswoman plans to file before the period expires.”

If Ocasio-Cortez does file her financial disclosure within the 30-day grace period she will still be fined an additional $200.

So far, nearly every member of the United States House of Representatives has filed their 2021 financial disclosures except for Ocasio-Cortez. This has many people wondering what she is doing and why she is avoided filing her disclosure.

Ocasio-Cortez also appears to be a hypocrite because in April she criticized lawmakers for acting improperly with their finances.

“It is our responsibility to ensure that we eliminate, again, that perception of impropriety because it is these perceptions that can be exploited to undermine our most sacred institutions,” Ocasio-Cortez said in April.
