This is strange.
House Speaker Nancy Pelosi sparked controversy after she attended RuPaul’s Drag Race All Stars in celebration for Pride Month where she boldly stated that this is “what America is all about.”
According to the Washington Examiner, during the end of one of their episodes, RuPaul Charles surprised the drag queens by saying, “There’s someone I want you to meet. Please give a warm drag race welcome to the speaker of the House, Nancy Pelosi.”
Pelosi came out in front of the drag queens and said, “It’s my honor to be here. Thank you for the joy and beauty you bring to the world.”
Pelosi then said, “Your freedom of expression, of yourselves in drag, is what America is all about. I say that all the time to my friends in drag.”
Adding, “The midterm election is coming up. It’s very important for people to make their voices and their vote heard.”
“Can I get an amen?” she then asked the drag queens.
“AMEN!” the drag queens then shouted.
