To everyones surprise, Texas Governor Greg Abbott has just told Americans that he is battling with the decision of whether or not to officially invoke war powers and declare that Texas is being invaded by illegals.
Gov. Abbott admitted that many conservatives who have his ear are telling him to do so however he has not made a final decision yet.
According to Newsmax, Governor Abbott’s comments came during an interview with talk radio station KURV-AM. Abbott explained that he is worried about President Biden’s response if he did so. Abbott explained that he isn’t worried about going to court about the potential decision but he doesn’t want Texas Department of Public Safety officers to be prosecuted by Biden.
“If I make that declaration and tell law enforcement to do it, and law enforcement does do this, they are subject to potential criminal penalties imposed by Merrick Garland, the United States attorney general, and the Biden administration,” Abbott explained.
Abbott then taunted Biden and said that he would be happy to arrest American officers simply for following orders.
“[They] would be more than happy to arrest and prosecute a Texas law enforcement official, so we’re looking forward to greater answers about that before we pull that trigger,” Abbott said.
