Republican Students Turn On Trump

This was surprising to see.

President Donald Trump is making good on his promise to secure America’s borders and restore law and order, but a surprising new poll reveals many young Republicans on college campuses don’t support deporting international students involved in campus protests.

According to a Newsweek/College Pulse survey, 65% of Republican college students say they oppose deporting foreign nationals for protesting on campus, while 71% oppose removing students for making statements critical of Israel.

These numbers come even as Trump’s administration continues leading the strongest immigration enforcement drive in decades, cracking down on foreign agitators exploiting U.S. visas to stir political unrest. Former ICE Director Tom Homan, now Trump’s top border advisor, has spearheaded efforts to deport non-citizens who incite chaos under the guise of free speech.

🔒 Trump’s message is clear: If you’re a guest in this country, you play by the rules — or you leave.

Visa Revocations on the Rise Under Trump’s America First Policy

Since the start of 2025, over 1,100 foreign students have had their F-1 and J-1 visas revoked, many due to participation in radical anti-Israel or pro-Hamas protests. These protests have erupted at major campuses, disrupting education and even leading to arrests of both students and faculty.

However, the number of visa revocations may be even higher. Smaller private colleges — where many foreign students are enrolled — often aren’t fully represented in federal databases. That means hundreds more could be quietly facing deportation as Trump’s policies are enforced nationwide.

The Mahmoud Khalil Case: A Legal Immigrant Facing Removal

One notable case is Mahmoud Khalil, a green card holder arrested by ICE after his involvement in disruptive pro-Palestinian activism. Secretary of State Marco Rubio cited the Immigration and Nationality Act of 1952, stating Khalil’s actions were “antisemitic” and a violation of federal law.

Khalil, though legally present in the U.S., could now be deported — showing that even legal status doesn’t protect you if you work against America’s interests.

📢 The Trump administration has sent a strong warning: U.S. soil is not a staging ground for anti-American extremism.

Republican Students Divided: A Generational Shift?

Despite Trump’s leadership, many young conservatives are showing a softer stance on speech-related deportations. Among the 65% who opposed deportation:

  • 38% were “somewhat opposed”
  • 27% “strongly opposed”
  • Only 3% expressed strong support for removing foreign protesters

This may signal a generational rift inside the Republican Party. While older Americans overwhelmingly support Trump’s America First approach, younger voters appear more lenient — even toward foreign nationals protesting on U.S. soil.

⚖️ The Bottom Line: Law and Order vs. Liberal Indoctrination

President Trump has already delivered historic border security and is keeping his promise to defend the homeland. His firm stance against foreign agitators is restoring faith among millions of Americans who are fed up with left-wing chaos on college campuses.

Whether students like it or not, America is a nation of laws — and President Trump is enforcing them.
