Get a load of what this traitor said.

Former Republican New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie, who was once a close Trump ally, is now foolishly claiming that former President Donald Trump has lost his grip on the Republican Party.

Christie backed up his claims by pointing to the Republican Governors Association a group which recently came out came out against Trump in the states of Georgia, Alabama, Idaho and Ohio.

According to Breitbart, Christie stated, “You’ve got the Republican Governors Association, which, for the first time in my memory, is getting involved in primaries against Donald Trump in Georgia, in Idaho, in Alabama, in Ohio, and I’m telling you right this morning — I’ll put myself on the line that the Republican incumbent governors are going to win all four of those primaries.”

After being asked what he thought that means, Christie explained, “What it means is that his grip on the party is diminishing, and it’s not just when he’s on the ballot because remember back in 2018 — he made a lot of endorsements in 2018 where a lot of upsets occurred because of his endorsement. One of the biggest being Ron DeSantis in Florida.”

While Chris Christie believes that former President Donald Trump has lost his grip on the GOP, top polling data shows has shown signs that Christie is dead wrong. Currently, 57% of voters want Trump to continue to play a major roll in Republican Party.

Trump has yet to formally announce his 2024 run however it is highly speculated that he fully intends to.
