Republicans Ordered To Attack Trump

Is the mainstream media out of its mind?

As President Donald J. Trump works to end the brutal war in Ukraine, the Wall Street Journal editorial board is urging Senate Republicans to guide him toward a more aggressive approach on Russia—particularly regarding Vladimir Putin’s ongoing military aggression and energy strategy.

In a hard-hitting Monday editorial, the Journal cautioned that while Trump is focused on peace, he must also confront the reality of Putin’s long-term ambitions.

“Putin hasn’t changed. He’s still pursuing a neo-Soviet empire,” the editorial board wrote. “It’s time to stop underestimating his resolve.”

President Trump, speaking candidly on Truth Social, expressed his frustration:

“He’s killing a lot of people, and I don’t know what the hell happened to Putin.”

This blunt statement came amid renewed backchannel diplomacy led by the Trump administration in an effort to bring both sides to the negotiating table and put an end to the bloodshed.

But the Journal warned that hesitation in applying real economic pressure could allow Putin to prolong the conflict.

GOP Senator Leads Effort to Cut Off Putin’s Oil Profits

Senator Lindsey Graham (R-SC) is spearheading legislation aimed at hitting Russia where it hurts most—its energy exports. Backed by 82 senators, Graham’s bill would impose stiff tariffs on nations that continue to buy Russian oil and gas.

“Energy sales are Putin’s cash cow,” the Journal wrote. “Trump has a chance to succeed where Biden failed—by using America’s economic leverage to demand results.”

The editorial criticized the Biden administration for refusing to implement secondary sanctions—penalties that would pressure third-party countries enabling Moscow’s war machine.

While the Journal has occasionally clashed with Trump on trade and foreign policy, even its editors now recognize he’s the only U.S. leader seriously trying to end the war through strength and negotiation.

A Moment for American Strength

For millions of patriotic Americans, especially those concerned about global stability and rising energy costs, the question is clear: Will the U.S. confront tyrants like Putin or keep repeating the same weak policies seen under Biden?

With Senate conservatives taking action and Trump leading the push for peace, many voters see a real opportunity to restore American leadership—without endless wars.

Bottom line: The time to act is now. The Trump administration has a narrow window to shut off Putin’s oil money and bring this war to a close. Conservatives across the country are watching closely—and expecting results.
