Top Democrats Chuck Schumer and Nancy Pelosi have officially come out and said that President Biden should run for re-election in 2024.
President Biden who is 80 years old has been criticized relentlessly over his verbal gaffes and mental slips since coming into office.
According to Newsmax, House Speaker Nancy Pelosi claimed that President Biden has done “an excellent job” since coming into the White House.
“I hope that he does seek reelection. He’s a person with great vision for our country. He’s been involved for a long time, so he has great knowledge of the issues, and the challenges we face,” Pelosi told CNN.
She went on to claimed that Biden was the “most empathetic president” who knows how to connect with the American people.
“The vision, the knowledge, the strategic thinking is all here,” Pelosi added. “The empathy is from the heart. And I think he’s a great president.”
Senate Majority Leader Schumer shared a similar sentiment and explained, “He’s done an excellent, excellent job. And if he runs, I’m going to support him all the way.”
Both Schumer and Pelosi added that former President Donald Trump would lose in 2024 if he attempts to run for the third time in 2024.
“The American people have gotten wise to him. Took a little while, but they did,” Schumer explained while talking about Donald Trump.
