Armed Man Attacks Supreme Court Judge

What has America come to?

In a shock to lawmakers across the country, an armed man was arrested in close proximity to the Maryland home of Supreme Court Justice Brett Kavanaugh.

According to Fox, the currently unidentified individual was carrying with him a gun and knife and was heard making violent threats against Kavanaugh.

Officials have yet to release the mans name however they did tell news sources that he is in his 20s and is from California. Thankfully it also appears that the man was not able to get to Justice Kavanaugh’s house.

U.S. Marshals and the Montgomery County Police Department are handling this case and as of right now no charges have been filed.

U.S. Attorney General Merrick Garland stated, “This kind of behavior, it’s obviously behavior that we will not tolerate. Threats of violence and actual violence against the justices of course strike at the heart of our democracy. We will do everything we can to prevent them and hold people who do them accountable.”

Spokeswoman for the Supreme Court, Patricia McCabe, stated, “At approximately 1:50 a.m. today, a man was arrested near Justice Kavanaugh’s residence. The man was armed and made threats against Justice Kavanaugh. He was transported to Montgomery County Police 2nd District.”
