This needs to happen.
In a historic surge of patriotic legislation, Republican lawmakers are pushing to enshrine President Donald J. Trump’s legacy in the fabric of American life—from currency to monuments, and even the nation’s most iconic landmarks.
Over the past six months, a steady stream of Trump-themed proposals has been introduced in Congress. These range from renaming Washington Dulles International Airport to creating new U.S. currency bearing Trump’s portrait—even calling for Trump’s face to be added to Mount Rushmore.
Supporters say the push is long overdue. “President Trump is the most consequential leader in modern American history,” said Rep. Claudia Tenney (R-NY), who introduced a bill to make Trump’s birthday a national holiday. “His impact deserves to be recognized—not decades from now, but today.”
Melania Trump Honored at the Kennedy Center
Earlier this week, Rep. Mike Simpson (R-ID) put forward a measure to rename the Kennedy Center’s Opera House in Washington, D.C., as the “First Lady Melania Trump Opera House,” honoring her contributions to promoting the arts in America.
The House Appropriations Committee approved the measure in a 33–25 vote, despite opposition from Democrats who called it “partisan.” But for conservatives, it’s a powerful gesture honoring traditional American values.
All Aboard the Trump Train: MAGA Makes Its Way Into Public Transit
Earlier this year, Rep. Greg Steube (R-FL) introduced the Make Autorail Great Again Act, which would rebrand Washington’s Metro system as the “Trump Train.” The bill ties federal transit funding to patriotic reforms, pushing public transportation away from bloated bureaucracy and toward efficiency, service, and national pride.
New Trump Currency: $100, $250, and $500 Bills Proposed
This spring, lawmakers unveiled a series of Trump-themed currency bills designed to celebrate the 45th—and possibly 47th—President.
- Rep. Joe Wilson (R-SC) proposed a $250 bill featuring Trump’s portrait, calling it a tribute to his “transformational leadership.”
- Rep. Brandon Gill (R-TX) introduced the Golden Age Act, replacing Benjamin Franklin with Trump on the $100 bill to mark a new era of economic strength and patriotic revival.
- Rep. Paul Gosar (R-AZ) rolled out the TRUMP Act to print $500 bills with Trump’s image, stating it would combat the effects of Bidenflation and restore faith in American currency.
A National Holiday for Trump’s Birthday & Flag Day
Rep. Claudia Tenney also introduced the Trump’s Birthday and Flag Day Holiday Establishment Act, which would make June 14th—Trump’s birthday and Flag Day—a combined federal holiday. Supporters say it’s only fitting to honor a President who defended the flag and the Constitution like no other.
Mount Rushmore Next? Bold Bill Would Carve Trump Into History
In one of the most ambitious proposals to date, Rep. Anna Paulina Luna (R-FL) introduced legislation urging the Department of the Interior to include Donald Trump’s image on Mount Rushmore, alongside iconic presidents like George Washington, Abraham Lincoln, and Thomas Jefferson.
While the National Park Service claims there’s no space left on the monument, Luna says it’s not about geology—it’s about recognizing greatness.
Trump’s Name on America’s Front Door: Airport Renaming Proposed
Rep. Guy Reschenthaler (R-PA) has proposed renaming Washington Dulles International Airport as Donald J. Trump International Airport. “As millions of travelers pass through our nation’s capital, they should be welcomed by a name that represents freedom, prosperity, and American strength,” he said.
Renaming the Oceans? Why Not
Rep. Steube also introduced legislation to rename all U.S. coastal waters as the “Donald John Trump Exclusive Economic Zone of the United States.” The move would require all federal maps, charts, and legal documents to reflect the new designation.
✅ Why It Matters to Everyday Americans
These proposals aren’t just symbolic—they’re a patriotic stand against the erosion of American values. From currency to holidays, these bills aim to restore pride, celebrate leadership, and honor the man who put America First.
As President Trump prepares for a historic second term, his allies in Congress are ensuring his legacy will be etched—not only in law but in stone, steel, and history.
