Trump Insider Backstabs Him

Nobody expected this.

Former President Donald Trump’s Education Secretary Betsy DeVos threw Trump under the bus and admitted that the January 6th Capitol protest was the final straw. DeVos then said that after the riot, she was open to the idea of using the 25th Amendment to remove him from office.

According to The Hill, DeVos wrote in her new book about turning in her resignation letter to Donald Trump the day after the riot took place. She then explained how she blamed Trump for not accepting the outcome of the 2020 presidential election.

DeVos wrote in her book, “To me, there was a line in the sand. It wasn’t about the election results. It was about the values and image of the United States. It was about public service rising above self. The president had lost sight of that.”

DeVos then explained, “I went to Washington to do a job on behalf of the American people and particularly for students, and a lot of what happened after the election sort of put roadblocks in the way of doing any major additional work, so I really felt that everything I could accomplish in office had been accomplished based on that reality and that dynamic.”

She then blasted Trump for not stepping up to slow down and even stop the riot from taking place while it was happening. “It was not defensible in any way,” DeVos added.
