Trump is all business.
On Monday evening, President Donald Trump signed a series of impactful executive orders aimed at reshaping the U.S. military and addressing national defense priorities. These moves reflect his commitment to restoring traditional values, enhancing military readiness, and standing firm against the radical left’s influence within government institutions.
One of the most significant orders directs the Defense Department to prevent transgender individuals from serving openly in the military. Trump emphasized that serving in the armed forces requires physical and mental standards that must be upheld without exception. “A false ‘gender identity’ that contradicts a person’s biological sex simply doesn’t meet the rigorous requirements needed for military service,” the president stated, underscoring the importance of military readiness and unity.
In another bold step, Trump greenlit the development of a missile defense shield for the United States, a project aimed at protecting the homeland from a wide range of threats, including ballistic, hypersonic, and cruise missiles. This “Iron Dome for America” was discussed during the Reagan administration but never fully realized. The plan is now moving forward under Trump’s leadership, ensuring that America’s defense capabilities are ahead of emerging threats from both state and non-state actors.
Trump also honored his campaign promise to reinstate military personnel who were discharged or left the service due to COVID-19 vaccine mandates. The executive order will return these service members to their previous ranks, with full back pay, bonuses, and benefits. The president strongly criticized the vaccine mandate, calling it an “unfair” burden and a clear example of overreach that unjustly targeted service members.
Additionally, Trump took a stand against the growing influence of diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) programs within the Department of Defense. He signed an executive order to abolish DEI offices within the DOD and the Department of Homeland Security, which oversees the Coast Guard. The order prohibits the promotion of divisive ideologies such as “critical race theory” and gender ideology, aiming to return focus to the core mission of national security.
These actions demonstrate Trump’s unwavering resolve to restore order, defend American values, and ensure a military that is ready and unified in the face of global challenges.
