Trump is not happy with one media host in particular.
President Donald Trump recently took aim at MSNBC host Rachel Maddow and the liberal media establishment, calling both MSNBC and CNN “the enemy of the people.”
Trump’s criticism was sharp and pointed, shared in a post on Truth Social in the early hours of the morning. He blasted Maddow’s show for its declining viewership, stating, “Wow! Rachel Maddow has some terrible ratings. She will be taken off the air in the near future. MSNBC IS ALMOST FINISHED. CNN HAS HIT THE ABSOLUTE BOTTOM.” He added, “This is a great thing. They are the Enemy of the people!”
This attack came just hours after the former president participated in a heated roundtable discussion in California, where he criticized local Democrats’ handling of the state’s devastating wildfires. The wildfires, which have caused extensive damage, are expected to result in at least $250 billion in losses. Trump didn’t hold back when addressing Los Angeles Mayor Karen Bass, telling her, “You have emergency powers, just like I do, and I’m exercising my emergency powers. You have to exercise them also.”
Trump pressed the mayor to cut through the bureaucratic red tape and allow residents to begin the rebuilding process immediately. “I just think you have to allow the people to go on their site and start the process tonight,” he urged. His comments underscored his frustration with the slow government response, especially given the scale of the crisis.
Neither MSNBC nor CNN has responded to Trump’s remarks as of now, but the feud highlights ongoing tensions between the former president and the mainstream media. For many conservatives, Trump’s unfiltered criticism of the media echoes their frustrations with outlets that they believe have consistently misrepresented their views and agenda. His latest remarks only add fuel to the fire in this ongoing battle between the left-leaning media and conservative Americans.
