Do liberal voters care about America? If so, why are they letting Biden do this?
In a recent campaign advertisement released on his Truth Social account, former President Donald Trump criticized President Joe Biden’s handling of the immigration crisis. The 30-second ad, titled “CRISIS AT THE BORDER,” focuses on a statement made by Biden in response to questions about his efforts to address the immigration situation using executive authority.
The ad prominently features Biden’s statement, where he conveyed that he has done all he can in dealing with the immigration crisis and essentially requested more power to address the issue. This assertion is accompanied by visuals of migrants as a backdrop. The ad incorporates information from news headlines, such as the termination of the Trump-era ‘remain in Mexico’ policy, a 100-day halt on deportations, the cessation of workplace immigration raids, and the decision to no longer deport people solely because they are undocumented.
The concluding message of the ad is straightforward, asserting that the current state of affairs is a result of Biden’s actions with the text “You did this Joe.” Drawing parallels to the 2016 election, the ad suggests that the immigration crisis is likely to be a central theme in Trump’s anticipated presidential campaign if he secures the Republican nomination.
Reports suggest that over 8 million illegal immigrants have entered the U.S. from the southern border during Biden’s three years in office. Customs and Border Protection data for the 2023 fiscal year, ending on September 31, indicates a record 2,475,669 total encounters at the southern border. With the current fiscal year three months in, the U.S. is projected to surpass 3.1 million encounters at the southern border, and December alone witnessed a historic high of 302,034 encounters, as reported by CBP.
