Its the end of an era.
A well-known retail store dedicated to merchandise supporting President Donald Trump is preparing to close its doors later this month, ending a six-year run that made it a familiar destination for supporters in eastern Pennsylvania.
The Trump Store, located in Bensalem, announced on social media that it will shut down at the end of January as sales activity has slowed following the 2024 presidential election. As part of the closing process, the store is offering deep discounts, including shirts priced as low as $3 and hats starting at $5. January 31 has been listed as the final day of operation.
Owner Mike Domanico said the store was never intended to become a long-term business when it first opened during the 2020 election cycle. However, steady demand and strong community support kept it operating far longer than planned.
“When I opened the store, it was meant to be temporary,” Domanico explained. “But it caught on, and over the years it became something people really connected with.”
Over time, the shop evolved into more than just a retail outlet. According to Domanico, it became a gathering place where like-minded supporters could meet, talk politics, and show their support. Some customers reportedly traveled many hours just to visit.
Despite national polling fluctuations during Trump’s second term, Domanico emphasized that the closure is not a reflection of dissatisfaction among supporters. Instead, he cited practical factors, including the end of the store’s lease and the need to focus on other business ventures.
He also noted that sales were particularly strong during the years Trump was out of office and again during the 2024 campaign, when political interest was at its peak. According to local reporting, demand for merchandise often increased during major news cycles involving the president.
The store is located in Bucks County, a closely watched political region that played a role in the 2024 election outcome. While voting patterns in the county have shifted over time, Trump narrowly carried the area during his successful return to the White House.
Domanico, a longtime admirer of Trump dating back to the former businessman’s real estate career in the 1980s, said he remains confident in the president’s leadership and direction for the country.
“I’ve followed Trump for decades,” he said. “I think his second term has been strong, and he’s done a lot of things right.”
In a December message shared on Truth Social, President Trump pushed back against negative polling narratives, highlighting what he described as improved border security, economic performance, and military readiness.
With elections now behind him and the lease ending, Domanico said the store has simply reached a natural conclusion.
“The store has run its course,” he said. “It was a great experience, and I’m proud of what it became.”
The Trump Store is scheduled to close permanently on January 31.
