Trump Snubs NFL Team

Trump has made a unique decision.

In a recent post on his Truth Social platform, President Donald Trump extended his congratulations to the Kansas City Chiefs for securing a spot in the Super Bowl after their win in the AFC Championship. Trump praised the Chiefs’ performance, highlighting their coach, quarterback, and the team’s exceptional play, noting that their fans—many of whom supported him in past elections—deserved recognition as well.

In addition to celebrating the Chiefs, Trump acknowledged the Buffalo Bills for their strong season. While the Bills were defeated by Kansas City in a close game, Trump expressed confidence that the team would experience continued success in the future.

However, Trump did not comment on the Philadelphia Eagles’ NFC Championship victory. The Eagles triumphed over the Washington Commanders, securing their return to the Super Bowl. This sets up a rematch between the Chiefs and Eagles, who previously faced off in Super Bowl LVII, with Kansas City coming out on top in a narrow 38-35 win.

This marks the Chiefs’ fifth Super Bowl appearance in just six years, cementing their place as one of the most dominant teams of the current NFL era. For the Eagles, this will be their second Super Bowl appearance in recent years, and their first since 2018, when the team famously won the title under the leadership of former head coach Doug Pederson.

Back in 2018, Trump had canceled a planned White House visit for the Eagles after some players decided to boycott the event due to their protest of police brutality during the National Anthem. Despite reports that no players had actually kneeled during the anthem that season, the visit was ultimately canceled, sparking controversy at the time.

As the stage is set for the upcoming Super Bowl in New Orleans on February 9, fans from both teams are eager to see who will emerge victorious in this highly anticipated rematch.
