Trump Puts Taylor Swift In Her Place

Trump didn’t hold back.

Former President Donald Trump took a lighthearted jab at Taylor Swift’s recent endorsement of Vice President Kamala Harris during a morning interview on Fox News. The 78-year-old Republican frontrunner expressed his preference for Brittany Mahomes over the pop star when asked about Swift’s political leanings.

Trump, who was discussing Swift’s announcement that she would be supporting Harris in the upcoming election, made it clear where his loyalty lies. “Honestly, I have to say, I like Mrs. Mahomes much more,” Trump told Fox & Friends. “She’s a strong Trump supporter and has always been very vocal about it.”

The former President’s praise for Brittany Mahomes, the wife of Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes, highlights his appreciation for public figures who align with his Make America Great Again (MAGA) movement. “I think Brittany’s fantastic,” Trump continued. “She’s a big MAGA fan, and that’s what we like.”

Mahomes recently drew attention after showing support for one of Trump’s Instagram posts detailing his “2024 GOP Platform.” Although the post received considerable backlash, Mahomes stood by her actions, dismissing criticism and defending her right to support whom she chooses.

In contrast, Trump wasn’t taken aback by Swift’s endorsement of Harris. “It’s not surprising that Taylor Swift is supporting a Democrat. She’s always been quite liberal,” Trump remarked. “She’ll probably face some consequences for her choice in the public sphere.”

Swift’s endorsement of Harris was announced on Instagram, where she praised the Vice President as a “steady-handed, gifted leader” who she believes will lead the country with calm rather than chaos. Swift’s support, however, appears to stand in stark contrast to the political alignment favored by many of Trump’s supporters, reinforcing the divide in the nation’s current political climate.
