Trump Cracks Down Harder On Obama

The truth is coming out.

President Donald Trump has taken another bold step to hold Obama-era officials accountable. Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard announced Tuesday that 37 current and former intelligence officials have been stripped of their security clearances for abusing their positions and politicizing America’s intelligence agencies.

Obama’s Intelligence Network Exposed

The move directly targets powerful figures from the Obama years who, according to Gabbard, betrayed the trust of the American people. The list includes former Obama DNI James Clapper, who allegedly pressured officials to “compromise” security protocols in order to rush a 2017 assessment on Russian election interference—an assessment many conservatives say was designed to damage Trump.

“A security clearance is granted as a privilege, not guaranteed as a right,” Gabbard posted on X. “When individuals put politics ahead of the Constitution and twist the Intelligence Community for their own agendas, they shatter the trust they pledged to honor.”

High-Profile Names Stripped of Access

Among those losing access to classified materials are:

  • Brett M. Holmgren – prior Assistant Secretary of State for Intel and Research.
  • Richard H. Ledgett – prior Deputy Director of the NSA.
  • Stephanie O’Sullivan – prior Principal Deputy DNI.
  • Luke R. Hartig – prior NSC Senior Director for Counterterrorism.
  • Yael Eisenstat – ex-CIA officer and Obama White House advisor involved in Facebook’s election monitoring.

All 37 individuals immediately lost entry to secure government facilities, systems, and sensitive data. Their contracts have been canceled, and credentials ordered to be surrendered.

Trump Sends a Message to the Deep State

Gabbard emphasized that this crackdown came at President Trump’s direction, making clear that his administration is determined to root out corruption and restore integrity inside the intelligence community.

“Our Intelligence Community must uphold the Constitution, focus entirely on protecting the American people, and never again be used as a political weapon,” Gabbard stated.

Accountability at Last

For years, conservatives have warned that the so-called “Deep State” was undermining President Trump. This decisive action sends a loud and clear message: the days of Obama-era intelligence officials using classified power for political games are over.

Trump’s latest move delivers what many Americans have long demanded—real accountability for those who put personal politics above national security.
