MTG Drop Trump, Joins Democrats?

Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA) has stunned Washington again — this time signaling she’s willing to work with Democrats on their controversial demands.

The outspoken conservative firebrand says she’s had enough of soaring insurance costs and party inaction, breaking with GOP leadership during the tense government shutdown showdown.

In a passionate message shared on X, Greene expressed outrage over reports that health insurance premiums may skyrocket if Affordable Care Act (Obamacare) tax credits lapse. Though she reaffirmed her strong opposition to the Obama-era program, she warned that the soaring costs would hit hardworking Americans — including her own family — the hardest.

“I’m going against everyone on this issue,” Greene declared. “When the tax credits expire this year, my adult children’s premiums will double — just like millions of families in my district.”

Despite her break from party ranks, Greene made one thing crystal clear: no taxpayer money for illegal immigrants.

“I’m not towing the party line, and I’m not playing loyalty games,” she wrote. “I’m AMERICA ONLY! I’ll never vote for illegals to get taxpayer-funded health care or benefits.”

Greene Slams GOP Leadership

Greene accused Republican leadership of ignoring the real crisis facing the country — the crushing cost of health care for middle-class Americans.

“Not a single Republican in leadership has a plan to stop premiums from doubling,” she said. “All our country does is fund foreign wars and foreign aid, while Americans can’t even afford basic coverage. It’s shameful and traitorous.”

Greene vowed to remain in Washington this week to meet with anyone who’s “AMERICA FIRST” and ready to act.

“No funding for illegals — period,” she said. “But we must do something about these insane costs for Americans.”

Trump Weighs In

President Donald Trump, who has long fought to end Obamacare, appeared briefly open to working with Democrats to avoid premium spikes.

“If we made the right deal, I’d make a deal — sure,” Trump said Monday. “We have negotiations going on that could lead to good things for health care.”

However, Trump later clarified his stance on Truth Social, saying Democrats must reopen the government first.

“I’m happy to work with Democrats on their failed health-care policies — or anything else — but first they must allow our government to re-open,” Trump wrote.

White House Press Secretary Abigail Jackson reaffirmed the President’s position in a statement to The Hill:

“Democrats are holding the American people hostage with this shutdown because they want free health care for illegal aliens,” Jackson said.

The Bigger Picture

The government remains shut down as Democrats insist on extending Obamacare subsidies that are set to expire. Without renewal, analysts warn that premiums could soar by more than 75% next year, crushing millions of middle-class families.

Republicans argue Democrats are using the shutdown to push socialist health policies and prioritize illegal immigrants over American citizens.

Greene’s stance has sparked fierce debate inside the GOP — with some praising her honesty, and others accusing her of caving to Democrat pressure. But one thing is clear: Greene is ready to fight for American families first — even if she stands alone.
