Biden Sets Criminals Free

Is this really a good idea?

In a shocking turn of events, President Biden is now set to pardon all prior federal offenses on simple marijuana possession charges.

According to Fox News, this new decision by Biden applies to anyone who was convicted of simple marijuana possession charges anywhere in the United States.

Biden took to social media and had someone wrote for him, “As I’ve said before, no one should be in jail just for using or possessing marijuana. Sending people to jail for possessing marijuana has upended too many lives — for conduct that is legal in many states. That’s before you address the clear racial disparities around prosecution and conviction. Today, we begin to right these wrongs.”

Along with the pardons, President Biden is now urging all governors to follow in his footsteps as well.

Biden is also tasking Secretary of Health and Human Services Xavier Becerra and Attorney General Merrick Garland to start reviewing how the federal government classifies marijuana under federal drug laws.

Biden added, “The federal government currently classifies marijuana as a “schedule one” substance, the same as heroin and LSD – and more serious than fentanyl. It makes no sense.”

The only problem here is that most drug dealers use their lawyers to plead down their charges to get much lighter sentences. So this could backfire in Biden’s face by not just letting people who have marijuana charges out but also dangerous drug dealers as well.
