What will Biden do?
If you thought the Haitian migrant crisis a few days ago was bad, you won’t believe how much worse it is about to get.
According to Fox News, 30,000 Haitian migrants have already crossed into the United States and no one knows where they are now thanks to Biden but according to Panama’s foreign minister even more are coming!
In a recent interview, Foreign Minister Erika Mouynes confessed that since the beginning of this year she has seen over 85,000 Haitians cross through Panama and were headed for the United States.
“We’ve engaged with every single authority that we can think of, that we can come across, to say, ‘Please, let’s pay attention to this,'” Mouynes said.
Mouynes said she alerted several congress people and Biden’s DHS Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas.
“We all have a role to play in this issue, and the regional approach is the correct approach,” Mouynes said. “It is impossible for Panama to solve it on its own.”
What’s worse is that while 85,000 have already passed through Panama, 30,000 Haitians are waiting in Columbia since Panama can’t hold them at this time.
“When we receive them on the Panamanian side, they’re malnourished. The children are in terrible condition, so even getting them up to a healthy state takes time,” she added.
