This needs to happen.

The conservative movement is rallying to honor Charlie Kirk after his shocking assassination in Utah — and one Republican lawmaker is taking action to make sure his legacy lives forever inside the U.S. Capitol.

Rep. Anna Paulina Luna (R-FL) has officially requested that House Speaker Mike Johnson (R-LA) approve the creation of a statue of Charlie Kirk in the Capitol building. Luna says this permanent tribute would honor Kirk’s life, his fight for conservative values, and his ultimate sacrifice.

Luna’s Emotional Tribute to Kirk

Luna announced her request on Thursday, expressing deep personal gratitude to Kirk.

“I wouldn’t have a political career without Charlie Kirk,” Luna shared on X. “When others in my own party turned their backs on me, Charlie stood strong, supported me, and fought to help me win. I’m in Congress today because of his unwavering belief in me.”

She continued by urging Speaker Johnson to act quickly:

“Today, I am calling on @SpeakerJohnson to place a statue of Charlie in the U.S. Capitol to honor his legacy and to serve as a permanent reminder of his courage, his work, and his sacrifice.”

Letter to Congress: A Call to Action

Earlier Thursday, Luna and several House Republicans circulated a powerful letter to Johnson, describing Kirk as a “patriot, father, and fearless voice for freedom” who was “senselessly assassinated” while speaking at Utah Valley University on September 10, 2025.

The letter also condemned the toxic political climate fueled by the Left, warning that hateful rhetoric has made violence against conservatives more acceptable.

“While the ultimate blame lies with the individual who carried out this horrific act, we cannot ignore the toxic culture that allowed it to happen,” Luna stated. “The Left’s relentless hateful rhetoric has fostered an environment where fear and intimidation are used to crush opposing views. Their words sparked this. Their hatred fueled this.”

The letter ended with a direct plea for action:

“To honor Charlie’s legacy, we urge you to direct the installation of a statue of Charlie Kirk in the U.S. Capitol. This will not just be a symbolic gesture, but a lasting reminder that political disagreements must never again be answered with violence.”

A United Conservative Effort

Luna’s call to action has already gained widespread support. The letter was co-signed by 11 other House Republicans, signaling strong momentum behind the effort to immortalize Kirk’s impact on American politics.

Charlie Kirk, founder of Turning Point USA, was known for his passionate defense of freedom, faith, and traditional American values. His assassination sent shockwaves across the nation, sparking grief, anger, and renewed calls for unity among conservatives.

For many, the statue would serve as both a tribute and a warning — a symbol that free speech and political courage must never be silenced by violence.

Why This Matters

  • Honors a Conservative Icon: Kirk inspired millions of young conservatives and helped shape a new generation of leaders.
  • Confronts Political Violence: The statue sends a powerful message that violence will not intimidate patriots or silence free speech.
  • Strengthens Conservative Unity: This effort brings Republicans together during a time of national mourning.

A Legacy Set in Stone

The proposed statue is more than just a monument — it’s a battle cry for those who believe in the Constitution, free speech, and the principles Kirk dedicated his life to defending.

As the fight against left-wing intolerance continues, Kirk’s legacy will serve as a reminder that America’s conservative movement is strong, united, and unbreakable.
