In a stunning turn of events, it now has been learned that Florida Governor Ron DeSantis beat former President Donald Trump in a conservative group straw poll for 2024 nomination!
According to the Guardian, Conservative activists in Colorado have surprisingly pushed DeSantis above Trump for who will receive the 2024 presidential nomination from the GOP.
DeSantis appears to have won by 71% of the vote compared to former President Donald Trump who received 67% of the vote.
The straw poll was conducted by a number of conservative voters during the weekend’s Western Conservative Summit.
Now media outlets are claiming that Trump is losing his grip on the Republican party and some conservatives have mixed feelings.
Many Republican voters strongly favor both Trump and DeSantis and don’t mind either candidate running as the nominee in 2024. Additionally, most GOP lawmakers still believe that 2024 is Trump’s race to run so he can finish what he started.
