According to House Oversight Committee Chairman James Comer and Sen. Chuck Grassley, a whistleblower has claimed that the FBI and Justice Department possess a document detailing a criminal plot. The scheme involves former Vice President Joe Biden and a foreign national, and pertains to the exchange of money for policy decisions.
According to Fox, Representatives Comer and Grassley, who belong to the Republican Party and represent Kentucky and Iowa respectively, added that the whistleblower asserted that the document provides an exact explanation of how the supposed criminal plot was executed and what its aim was.
Reportedly, the document in question is an FD-1023 form created by the FBI. The whistleblower claims that this document contains information about an agreement that involves offering money in exchange for policy decisions.
On Wednesday, Representative Comer issued a subpoena as a result of legally safeguarded disclosures made to Senator Grassley’s office.
Grassley stated, “We believe the FBI possesses an unclassified internal document that includes very serious and detailed allegations implicating the current President of the United States. What we don’t know is what, if anything, the FBI has done to verify these claims or investigate further. The FBI’s recent history of botching politically charged investigations demands close congressional oversight.”
Representative Comer also mentioned that the information presented to them has raised concerns that former Vice President Biden may have participated in a bribery scheme with a foreign individual.
Comer explained, “The American people need to know if President Biden sold out the United States of America to make money for himself. Senator Grassley and I will seek the truth to ensure accountability for the American people.”
Representatives Comer and Grassley informed FBI Director Christopher Wray and Attorney General Merrick Garland on Wednesday about the legally secured and exceedingly credible unclassified whistleblower disclosures they received.
