Hillary Clinton Blasts Trump Over Qatar Jet Gift—Critics Cry Foul Over Her Own Foreign Money Ties
Hillary Clinton is once again lobbing attacks at President Donald Trump—this time over a new Boeing 747-8 aircraft reportedly gifted by Qatar’s royal family. The $400 million state-of-the-art jet is expected to eventually replace the aging Air Force One, a move welcomed by many seeking to modernize presidential travel and strengthen U.S. infrastructure.
But Clinton, speaking on the social platform X, questioned the move with sharp political overtones:
“No one gives someone a $400 million dollar jet for free without expecting anything in return,” she wrote. “Be serious.”
Her criticism immediately sparked outrage from conservatives who remember well the Clinton Foundation’s own $1 million donation from Qatar in 2016—while Clinton was still serving as secretary of state.
🔍 Democrats Cry “Corruption”—But Look the Other Way on Clinton
Despite lacking evidence of wrongdoing, nine Senate Democrats demanded a Pentagon probe into the potential acceptance of the plane. They claim it could represent a “conflict of interest,” echoing a narrative often used to attack Trump throughout his presidency.
Yet none of those Democrats have raised similar concerns about the Clinton Foundation’s history of foreign donations—highlighting what many view as a glaring double standard in Washington politics.
🔒 National Security Comes Into Focus
Some GOP lawmakers are taking a cautious approach. Sen. Todd Young (R-Ind.) expressed concern over national security risks, including potential surveillance threats. “There are questions about listening devices and safety specs,” he said. “We need answers.”
Sen. Ted Cruz (R-Texas) agreed, calling the situation “a serious espionage concern” during an appearance on CNBC’s Squawk Box.
📌 Clinton’s Pattern: Attack Trump, Ignore Her Past
Clinton’s attack fits a familiar pattern. Since losing the 2016 election, she’s consistently targeted President Trump with rhetoric that plays well to liberal media but rings hollow with many Americans. Earlier this year, speaking overseas in Berlin, she accused the Trump administration of siding with “autocrats” and promoting “hatred and fear”—language that raised eyebrows for its divisiveness.
Shortly after those remarks, President Trump revoked her security clearance, citing national interest and the need to protect classified information.
⚖️ Hypocrisy or Political Theater?
For many Americans, especially those who remember the scandals of the Obama-Clinton years, Clinton’s latest outburst is nothing more than political theater. The truth remains: Trump continues to strengthen U.S. leadership, invest in national security, and push back against the same foreign influences that once funded the Clintons.
