This is big.
In an internal memo released by the Department of Homeland Security, it was warned that there could be a potential for violence and threats caused by extremists on both sides of the issue if the Supreme Court overturns Roe v. Wade.
According to NBC, the National Capital Region Threat Intelligence Consortium has already identified 25 violent threats which were made on social media that was referred to law enforcement agencies for more in depth investigation.
The memo stated, “Some of these threats discussed burning down or storming the U.S. Supreme Court and murdering Justices and their clerks, members of Congress, and lawful demonstrators.”
Currently, the official decision about whether or not Row v. Wade is overturned is still up in the air however the Department of Homeland Security is not taking chances and is beefing up security now before things turn ugly.
