Kamala Blames Trump For These Deaths

Kamala will stoop to any low, won’t she?

On Tuesday, Vice President Kamala Harris directly accused former President Donald Trump of responsibility for Georgia’s stringent abortion restrictions following a recent report highlighting a tragic case. ProPublica’s report, released on Monday, uncovered that a 28-year-old Georgia mother tragically died after being denied necessary medical treatment due to the state’s restrictive abortion laws. The report noted that the woman’s death was deemed “preventable” by an official state committee, which attributed the fatal outcome to delays in crucial medical procedures.

In her statement, Harris lamented the loss of the young mother, emphasizing her potential life lost to these restrictive policies. “This young mother should be alive, caring for her child, and pursuing her dreams of becoming a nurse,” Harris asserted.

The Vice President framed this incident as a direct consequence of overturning Roe v. Wade, arguing that more than 20 states with restrictive abortion laws, often influenced by Trump’s policies, are obstructing essential medical care. Harris painted a dire picture of the situation, claiming that these laws are leading to severe consequences for women, including dangerous delays in medical treatment and restricted access to necessary procedures. She argued that women are suffering and dying as a result of these policies, which she attributes to Trump’s actions and influence.

Harris warned that the upcoming 2024 election is crucial for restoring what she calls “reproductive freedoms,” suggesting that a potential Trump presidency would likely push for a national abortion ban. She criticized Trump for not explicitly committing to veto such a ban during his recent debate performance.

In Georgia, the state’s six-week abortion ban remains enforced after a ruling by the Georgia Supreme Court in October 2023. This decision upheld the ban, which prohibits most abortions once fetal cardiac activity is detected, typically around six weeks of pregnancy.

Senator Elizabeth Warren also highlighted the ProPublica report on social media, underscoring the preventability of the young mother’s death.
