What’s going on?
President Biden’s White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre was dragged online after she accidentally referred to Vice President Kamala Harris as “the president” during her most recent press conference.
According to Fox, Jean-Pierre was explaining how Kamala Harris was going to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the Roe v. Wade during a conference in Florida.
Jean-Pierre accidentally stated, “This Sunday, the president will speak about the fight to secure women’s fundamental right to reproductive healthcare in the face of these attacks. She will talk about what’s at stake for millions of women across the country and most importantly, the need for Congress to codify the protections of Roe into law.”

Jean-Pierre was immediately criticized online for her mistake and Outsports writer Cyd Zeigler asked, “It is bizarre that President Biden and his White House Press Secretary keep referring to Kamala Harris as the ‘President.’ This happens again and again. Is this standard? Did President Trump or President Obama refer to their VPs as the ‘President’? Did their Press Secretary?”
Mike Opelka joked, “I took a 30 minute Power Nap and missed Kamala being sworn in?”
It is very strange that they keep referring to Kamala as the President. They never accidentally called Mike Pence the president. They never accidentally called Biden the president when he was Obama’s V.P.
What’s going on? Very strange behavior from the White House.
