Kamala VP’s Dark Secret Leaked

You know it’s bad when even CNN is criticizing the Democrats.

CNN host Michael Smerconish has highlighted significant concerns surrounding the 1995 DUI arrest of Minnesota Governor Tim Walz, a running mate for Vice President Kamala Harris. Smerconish emphasized that this issue presents a considerable challenge for the Harris campaign.

“The DUI incident is something that cannot be easily defended,” Smerconish remarked, questioning whether Walz underwent adequate vetting by the Harris campaign. Despite Walz’s attempts to downplay the incident, the controversy surrounding his past continues to persist.

On September 23, 1995, while working as a teacher in Nebraska, Walz was stopped by police for driving 96 mph in a 55-mph zone. Walz’s campaign later claimed in 2006 that he was not intoxicated and attributed the misunderstanding to Walz’s “deafness,” which they argued had been addressed surgically. However, Smerconish dismissed these explanations, asserting that the DUI issue transcends the alleged “hearing disability” argument.

Smerconish expressed skepticism about the Harris campaign’s handling of the situation, suggesting that the DUI issue might be more damaging than the “stolen valor” allegations against Walz. He noted that the DUI controversy involves dishonesty, which he believes is more troubling than the act of drinking itself.

In addition, Walz has faced criticism from veterans, including some former Army National Guard members who served with him, for leaving the Guard before it was deployed to Iraq. When discussing how the Harris campaign should address the DUI controversy, Smerconish recommended a direct and thorough approach.

He speculated that the rapid pace of Harris’s campaign may have led to insufficient vetting of Walz. A state trooper’s report obtained by Alpha News reveals that Walz was found to have a strong odor of alcohol and failed both field sobriety and breath tests. Smerconish contended that Walz’s representation of his DUI as related to his hearing impairment is contradicted by the evidence, underscoring the need for the Harris campaign to confront the issue head-on.
